Former President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday visited victims of torrential rains that hit some communities in the Upper East Region.
The storm on Monday, October 14 has left many displaced with the National Disaster Management Organisation (Nadmo) estimating that 28 lives have been lost.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was in the Region to sympathise with victims.
On his visit, former president Mahama interacted and consoled those who have lost relatives.
He also sympathized with families displaced by the rains.
Mr Mahama also presented relief items to support communities in the Chiana-Paga, Navrongo, Builsa North and South constituencies.
He also paid a courtesy call on the chiefs and elders of the communities he visited.
He was accompanied by some executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
