Diplomatic activities at the Embassy of Israel in Accra resumed on Thursday after embassy officials in Ghana and across the globe declared strike on Wednesday.
The strike was due to internal budgetary issues between the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israel’s Ministry of Finance.
But the Embassy in a statement on Thursday said diplomatic and consular services are available “until further notice”.
“All diplomatic and consular services are fully active and the embassy is working in full capacity. The Embassy will soon contact individually all those applying for consular services to resume their process.”
The statement assured that the Embassy of Israel to Ghana, with oversight responsibilities in Liberia and Sierra Leone as well, is committed to working towards strengthening the already existing good relations between the countries every day.
“We greatly appreciate all your support and patience.”
