Nana Obiri Boahene calls NDC leaders fraudsters & gangsters
A Deputy General Secretary for New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahene, has censured leaders of the largest opposition party, describing them as fraudsters and gangsters.
He is austerely troubled about some arguments and submissions made by some key National Democratic Congress (NDC) members and had said that they need to be psychologically examined.
The legal practitioner speaking on Yen Sempa morning show on Onua FM on Thursday, December 3 described NDC as a dishonest and pitiable party made up of charlatans who are desperate for power to steal.
The NPP Deputy Secretary is livid how leadership of the NDC has suddenly resorted to use an unsubstantiated leaked videos, seeking to finger President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in alleged acts of corruption as a campaign message.
Nana Obiri Boahene told host Nana Okyere Awurukuo that the purported video is hogwash and has no concrete evidence establishing that the President engaged in corrupt practices.
He wondered why a former Deputy Finance Minister, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, would be so certain of the video and take advantage of its falsehood and dreary gen to lay up President Akufo-Addo.
He strongly chided the former Deputy Finance Minister and Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, labeling them fraudsters who have no locus to talk about corruption in Ghana.
“Fiifi Kwetey has been a minister in this country but he always speaks with no sense and such a character was given the opportunity to be Ghana’s finance minister,” he reiterated in Twi.
“What madness is this that such a person would be given the opportunity to be Ghana’s finance minister and where is the wisdom he was born with or has acquired through education?” he quizzed.
Nana Obiri Boahene indicated that somebody like Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the former Youth and Sports Minister and current Director of Elections for NDC, has no locus or whatsoever to talk about corruption in the country.
He recounted the ordeal of the ex-Sports Minister before the Presidential Commission chaired by Justice Senyo Dzamefe after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, stressing that he has no gravitas to talk about corruption.
He thus urged the general public to disregard the purported video and treat it with the contempt it deserves and reiterated that the content of the video would have no impact on chances of NPP in the December 7 polls.
