In the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region, ASA Savings and Loans Ltd has offered educational support to 25 students to pursue their academic goals.
Also, it is to ease financial burden on the parents and guardians.

At a brief ceremony, Mohammed Safiul Alam, Divisional Manager of ASA Savings and Loans, pointed out that education remains a cornerstone of sustainable development.
He noted the company’s steady growth since beginning operations in Ghana in 2008, highlighting its 153 branches nationwide, nearly 300,000 customers, and a workforce of more than 1,500 Ghanaian professionals.
“As part of our corporate social responsibility, we are providing you this educational support. This support is not just financial assistance; it is a recognition of your talent, hard work, and future potential,” he said.
Mr. Alam encouraged the beneficiaries to stay focused on their studies, set clear goals, and uphold honesty, discipline, and strong moral values.
“Education without a goal is like a journey without direction. Your success is our greatest achievement,” he added.
He emphasized ASA’s commitment to continued investment in human development and social responsibility.
Apostle Charles Akroey Kaku, Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Basic School Coordinator at the Ghana Education Service (GES), praised the scheme, which is a life changing support.
“Innovation is very important, and that is exactly what ASA is supporting. If we neglect young talents, we jeopardize our future,” he said.
He urged the students to appreciate the support, use it responsibly, and maintain discipline and excellence in their studies.
“This support is meant to ease the burden on your parents and guardians. Do not take it for granted,” he cautioned.
He added that ASA officers will monitor the academic performance of beneficiaries to ensure the initiative achieves its intended impact.
He expressed hope that the scheme would expand to benefit more students across the municipality and beyond.
Madam Fanny Hagan, who spoke on behalf of the parents, expressed profound gratitude to ASA for the gesture and encouraged the students to remain disciplined and committed to their studies.
One of the beneficiaries, Comfort Tetteh, with the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), pledged that they will reward the company’s effort with excellent academic results.
