The National Democratic Congress on Saturday inaugurated its new Party Secretariat ahead of the 2020 polls on Gomoa Dawurampong in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the Member of Parliament for Agona East, Queenster Pokuah Sawyerr, regional executives and hundreds of party supporters
The office which had not seen any facelift since its partial construction was rehabilitated by Mr Richard Gyan-Mensah,a 37-year old Accounts officer who is seeking to contest the Parliamentary seat.
Whilst delivering a short speech, Mr Gyan- Mensah admonished all party faithful to work in unison to bring the NDC back to power in the 2020 elections.
“We have to work hard and not leave anything to chance. All of us here should join forces and secure victory for the party because it is possible, he said.
He lamented that the dire economic conditions under which Ghanaians were living and urged the gathering to prepare to vote massively for the party in the next general elections.
Mr Gyan Mensah further promised to do more for the party and the Constituents if he is given the mandate by the delegates at the party’s upcoming primaries to lead the party in the Constituency
Mr Gyan-Mensah is a 37-year old Accounts officer with vast knowledge in contemporary Ghanaian politics.
For his part, the Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Kassim Mohammad lauded Mr Gyan-Mensah’s bold initiative and urged others to emulate his gesture.
