Royal Africa Holdings appoints new Chief Operating Officer.
Accra, April 8, GNA - Royal African Holdings, an African focus investment firm, has announced the appointment of Mr. Farouk Khailann as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its operations in Ghana.Mr. Khailann brings rich experience in management to his new role where he will oversee Royal Africa Holdings real estate, financial services, travel, farming, logistics, commodities, entertainment, sports, media and energy functions.Mr. Khailann holds Bachelor of education in Social Science from the University of Cape Coast and Certificates from the Ghana Stock Exchange.As an ardent crusader of domestic capital mobilization, he established the Institute of Finance Literacy (IFL) to give Ghanaians the opportunity to increase their financial market knowledge for business and personal development.He was the Marketing Manager at Finlite Group, where he led the marketing team to successfully launch FinMock, the first online examination technology to hit Ghanas IT landscape.Mr. Khailanns career took him to the energy sector where he worked with Ghana Gas Company as a document control officer; he was part of the team that designed the IT infrastructure of the company and also developed a social media strategy for its operations.He further partnered Nathanial Kwabena Adisi, one of Ghanas well-regarded entertainment entrepreneurs to establish Stockrush Ghana Limited, a company that offers market research, marketing and project management services to other organizations.He also served at Skills for Youth Empowerment (NGO) as Assistant Director of operations where he led a team to research and draft a report on youth entrepreneurship in Africa for the United Nations Economic Commission on Africa (UNECA).His Royal Highness Prince Ebrahim, Chairman of Royal African Holdings said the board has confidence in the newly appointed COO, due to his varied experience and would be a driving force behind efforts in building a strong brand in Ghana.Farouk is a good pick and has proven his worth through various pre appointment assignments and earned a solid reputation for himself, he added.He revealed that the companys flagship project at Prampram is a UDS$ 1.7 billion investment Palm Grove City, which is poised to be Ghana's most prestigious and sustainable metropolis development, reflecting a contemporary and vibrant African City.Its portfolios include Royal Africa Commodities, Royal Africa Hotels, Royal Africa Travel, Royal Africa Capital, Royal Africa Development, Royal Africa Asset Management, Royal Africa Power & Energy, Royal Africa Money Transfer, Royal Africa Farms and Royal Africa Media, among others.GNA
