Accra, Dec. 10, GNA – The Ministry of the Interior has imposed a curfew on Bole Township and its environs in the Bole District of the Northern Region from 1800 hours to 0600 hours with effect from Monday, December 10, 2018.
A statement signed by Mr Ambrose Dery, the sector Minister and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the curfew was upon the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument.
It said there was a ban on all persons from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapons and that any person found with any arms or ammunition would be arrested and prosecuted.
The statement called on the people to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to ensure that peace prevails in the area.
