Koforidua, Dec. 26, GNA - The Eastern Regional office of Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN) has distributed 20 hampers to mothers of Christmas babies at the Koforidua Regional Hospital (KRH).
Speaking to the media, Ms Berthy Evans, Customer Care Controller of MTN, said the MTN Foundation initiated the presentation of hampers to babies born on Christmas Day in 2011 and similar presentations are made in all the regions of the country.
Ms Grace Adu-Larbi, Senior Staff Midwife of the KRH maternity ward, said on Christmas Day, 20 deliveries were made out of which one was a set of twins.
Ms Adu-Larbi said the babies were made up of eight girls and 12 boys.
She said all the babies are doing well and four of them have been discharged and would be going home soon.
