Accra, Dec 31, GNA - Mr Alex Nartey, President of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has been awarded with the “Brand Leadership Award” for 2019.
The award presented by the Ghana Leadership Awards was in recognition of his contribution to the leadership of Ghana as well as encouragement of others, especially, the youth to follow suit.
Mr Nartey, received a plaque as a prize.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Nartey said the award showed that whatever people do, they should do it with all their might and heart.
“No matter the constraints, no matter the frustrations, do it well because there are always others behind the scenes, who are doing an objective and fair evaluation of you and that is the most important thing,” he added.
“It has challenged me to work harder, the rest of my life by making sure that I do not lower the standards, but work harder to be example to my peers and followers,” the JUSAG President noted.
Mr Nartey dedicated the award to members of JUSAG and to Ghanaian workers in general.
He urged all, particularly, public and civil servants not to disappoint “Mother Ghana”. “We should live above reproach and eschew all forms of corruption, which is being spoken about everyday by the public against civil and public servants”.
Mr Nartey expressed gratitude to the organisers of GLA and the members of the public for their confidence reposed in him.
“I promise not to disappoint them, I will serve Ghana with all my heart and might,” he stated.
GLA uses social media to solicit from the general public, people that were deserving of various awards.
