Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has no time to bother about not receiving a nomination in the 2017 edition of Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
He wonders why he should be troubled about missing out on a BET nomination, if he is not bothered about the whereabouts of his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) certificate.
Shatta Wale’s arch-rival, Stonebwoy received his second nomination at the BET Awards after the nominees for the 2017 edition were announced Monday.
After winning the award at the 2015 edition, the ‘Go Higher’ hit singer will be competing with Wizkid (Nigeria), Davido (Nigeria), Tekno (Nigeria), AKA (South
Africa), Nasty C (South Africa), Mr Eazi (Nigeria), and Babes Wodumo (South Africa) for the award this year.
Shortly after the nominees were announced, several persons took to social media platforms to troll Shatta Wale for missing out on the awards again this year.
Shatta Wale in the early hours of Tuesday took to social media to respond to debates about why he did not get nomination in the 2017 Black Entertainment Television Awards.
The ‘Taking Over’ hit singer is not worried about missing out. In a series of posts on Twitter and Facebook, he urged his fans not to be upset about the development.
He posted: “My B.E.C.E. certificate sef ano know where e dey. Then we deh come worry about BET. Money dey call me for my brain….”
Ghanaian rap heavyweight, Sarkodie and few other musicians have congratulated Stonebwoy on his nomination and as custom demands, some have said it would have been appropriate if Shatta Wale had also given Stonebwoy thumbs-up than to take to social media to whine about the awards.
For instance, Television and radio personality Caroline Sampson has asked dance hall act Shatta Wale to lend his support to Stonebwoy on his nomination in BET Awards.
