A security analyst, Mr Adam Bonaa, says government must explore means together with Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo Katanka to fill the gap in these challenging times.
According to him, “This is the time the Nation needs his invention and creativity in Manufacturing and producing Ventilators to help Ghana fight against COVID-19”.
In a social media post, Mr Bonaa stated that “General Motors and Manufacturing plants all over the world have switched to Producing Mission Critical Essential health systems including PPE’s and Ventilators”.
Government, he said, must provide adequate financial support to the local manufacturer to enable him quickly move into production provided he has the technical know-how to assist the country with the aforementioned equipment.
In his opinion, “government could request FDA /GSA to collaborate with him from the beginning so as to make final certificate easier”.
Nations like the United State, UK among others, he said, “are doing that and we can do that too should they have the capacity to even assemble these systems in Ghana”.
Alcoholic beverage producers in Ghana turned their production lines quickly into producing hand sanitizers when sanitizers were said to be effective in the preventing the COVID-19.
According to Mr Bonaa, this intervention saved a situation that could have worsened if we were importing every bottle of hand sanitizer into the country.
