A heavy rainstorm is expected to hit five out of the 16 administrative regions today; Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) has warned.
They are Volta, Greater Accra, Eastern Central and Western Regions.
According to the Agency, “a band of rain bearing clouds observed today between coastal borders of Benin and Togo with the most active part in the Gulf is expected to move westward and affect the coastal and marine environment of Ghana”
The rainstorm, the agency stated, would be “expected to induce cloudiness over the inland areas and produce moderate to heavy thunderstorm and rain over the Volta, Greater Accra, Eastern Central and Western Regions”.
The storm, which has about 70% occurrence probability, would be “expected to be accompanied by moderate to strong winds”. GMA’s circular indicated.
GMA estimated the occurrence time to be between 0630 UTC and 1300 UTC. The circular pointed out.
