All health workers will not pay taxes on their emoluments for the next 3 months, President Akufo-Addo has announced during his 5th broadcast to the nation on measures his administration has taken to contain the deadly coronavirus, a few minutes ago.
He added that all Frontline health workers “will receive an additional allowance of 50% of their basic salary per month ie for March, April, May and June.”
Again, the Ministry of Transport, he said, is making arrangements for buses to shuttle health workers to and from work.
President Akufo-Addo also mentioned that an insurance package has been put in place for the health workers, as well as a GHc150 daily allowance for those tracing contacts.
