The charity branch of Melcom Group of Companies, Melcom Care Foundation, has responded to a call by the Achimota Hospital to help it furnish the Emergency Unit of the Maternity Block.
Melcom donated a consultation desk and three-in-one visitors’ chair to the hospital in support of reaching the health needs of patients.
This was also to help the hospital deliver health care services to patients effectively and efficiently.
Melcom Group Communications Director Godwin Avenorgbo explained that the donation to the Achimota Hospital was not based on any established cordial relationship, but was given as part of the company’s corporate social policy.
Mr Avenorgbo indicated that the company received a proposal from the hospital that it needed the mentioned furniture to help create a friendly and favourable working environment for the health workers.
The Acting Superintendent of the Achimota Hospital, Dr Salamatu Attah-Nantagma, received the items and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Melcom Care Foundation.
