The Leader and Founder of the Universal Christ Church (UCC) located at Koforidua-Agavenya Avenue 5, Senior Prophet Gabriel Twumasi, has stated that about 95 percent of Ghanaian pastors are highly religious, but not spiritual.
According to the man of God, religion is a social-cultural system of designated behaviours and practices, morals, worldviews, texts, sanctified places, prophecies, ethics, or organisations that relates humanity to the supernatural, transcendental, or spiritual elements.
He continued that spirituality, on the other hand, has to do with having a sense of peace and purpose in life, adding that the greatest mark of a spiritual person is not the number of times he or she goes to church or prays, but having good relationships with God.
He made this known to the Eastern File in an interview shortly after a programme dubbed ‘The celebration of Archangel Michael,’ and was under the theme “The Power of Angels,” at the church premises on Tuesday.
He disclosed that even though many of the pastors claimed to be men of God, their relationship with the Maker was highly questionable, a situation that is creating pain and displeasure among Christians.
Touching on the celebration, the UCC Senior Prophet indicated that the angels were created with four elements – knowledge, wisdom, understanding and intelligence, spirit and the human being.
Senior Prophet Twumasi mentioned that any person who evades angels evades God, because without angels there is no God, adding: “We are here to mature into the knowledge of the angels and send it to heaven, hence, we should not go away from the real messages of the Creator.”
