The Head of Corporate Affairs at the National Identification Authority (NIA), ACI Francis Palmdeti, has gone back to the Ghana Immigration Service, his official employers.
This followed the successful completion of his secondment to the NIA which began on October 3, 2017 and ended on January 12, 2021.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the Head, Human Resource and Administration of the Authority, Ms Cecilia Erzuah.
According to the statement, “The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has since re-assigned him to the Operations Department at the Headquarters in Accra.”
Deputy Head of Corporate Affairs and Head of Training at NIA, Mr Abdul-Ganiyu, has meanwhile directed to act as Corporate Affairs.
“Prior to joining NIA on secondment from the Tamale Technical University (Tasty), Mr Abudu was a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Secretaryship and Management Studies at TaTU”. The statement disclosed.
NIA expressed gratitude to the GIS for the secondment of ACI Palmedti. It further expressed further appreciation to Mr Palmdeti’s “creditable contribution towards the successful implementation of the Ghana Card Project.”
The NIA’s statement recognised the full cooperation the media forged with its outgoing officer during his tenure and therefore, expressed appreciation to the Media. “NIA respectfully requests that the same level of cooperation be extended to Mr Abdul-Ganiyu while he serves as the Acting Head of Corporate Affairs of NIA.”
