Mr. Seidu said?development efforts that ignored?climate risks risked?undermining long-term national progress.

The Minister of State said?identified priority focus areas including the implementation of Ghana’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the Green Taxonomy Framework, climate finance mobilisation, adaptation measures, and capacity building.
He said?Ghana’s NDCs?outlined?dozens of mitigation and adaptation measures that, if implemented, aimed?to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, build resilience across sectors and support lowcarbon development pathways.
Mr. Seidu said the?government?was?currently revising its climate commitments to further strengthen ambition and align them with evolving national?priorities.
He emphasised that the Inter-Ministerial Technical Working Group played?a critical role in aligning sectoral initiatives with national climate goals, adding that regular engagement would help ministries introduce climate considerations into policies and projects more effectively.
