Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo enjoyed full game time in La Liga for the first time after his comeback from injury to help Celta Vigo to a thumping 4-1 victory over Valencia.
The defender who spent close to a year on the sidelines following an anterior cruciate ligament tear started for the Sky Blues on Saturday as they welcomed their opponents at the Balaidos.
Aidoo marshalled the three-man defence of Celta, sitting in the middle with Javi Rodriguez and ex-Chelsea left-back Marcus Alonso playing by his side.
Meanwhile, in the thrilling encounter, Borja Iglesias opened the scoring from the spot in the 33rd minute for the hosts.
Iglesias doubled the advantage on the hour mark before Pepelu reduced ten minutes later.
Late in injury time, the hosts extended their lead through Hugo Alvarez.
Aidoo has now made two appearances in La Liga this season to add to his two matches in the Copa Del Rey.
