The Ghana Football Association has declared its full confidence and unwavering support for the Black Queens, pledging to "leave no stone unturned" in preparing the team for success at the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum outlined a clear, two-pronged ambition for the tournament in Morocco.
"We've got two things on our mind going into this tournament," he stated. "First, we want to qualify for the World Cup. Then, we also want to fight for the title."
The Black Queens, who secured a bronze medal at the last edition, have been drawn into a challenging Group A with Cameroon, Mali, and Cape Verde. The GFA sees the tough draw not as an obstacle but as a motivator for the team to elevate their game.
"We came very, very close," Asante Twum reflected on the previous campaign. "Within a year, we believe we should be able to go a step further."
Asante Twum emphasized that the team's readiness stems from sustained investment and meticulous preparation. "We are in a very tight group with teams we have faced before. We know what they bring to the table, and we are well prepared for the challenge," he said. He attributed the squad's rising quality and confidence directly to the federation's commitment to women's football.
In a firm pledge of support, the Communications Director assured that the GFA will provide every resource necessary. "We will leave no stone unturned. We will continue to invest, motivate and push these players to go all the way," he affirmed. "We believe that when the tournament comes, the girls will make Ghanaians proud."
