Black Starlets have stepped up preparations for the upcoming U17 Africa Cup of Nations, with training sessions intensifying as the tournament draws closer.
Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and his technical team have focused on tactical organisation, ball movement, pressing, transitions, and finishing.
Equal attention has been given to physical conditioning, with endurance and strength work aimed at ensuring the players reach peak fitness.
Team discipline and unity have also been stressed, with players reminded of the responsibility of representing Ghana.
Two-time champions of the competition, the Starlets are targeting a strong showing as they seek to reassert their status among Africa’s elite.
The tournament runs from April 25 to May 15 in Morocco, with the top 10 teams qualifying for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana have failed to qualify for the last three editions of the Africa Cup of Nations, a run that has also seen the country miss out on the last three FIFA World Cup tournaments.
