Bibiani Gold Stars head coach Flitz Marcus Schmid has been named Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month, marking his first individual honour since taking charge of the club earlier this season.
The Swiss tactician beat off competition from Karela United’s Nurudeen Amadu, Hearts of Oak coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and Vision FC’s Nana Kweku Agyemang to secure the award.
Schmid’s recognition follows an impressive run of results, having guided Bibiani Gold Stars to three wins from three matches during the period under review. His side scored six goals and conceded just once, underlining their strong form at both ends of the pitch.
The unbeaten streak has lifted Gold Stars to second place on the league table, just one point behind the leaders, as they continue to mount a serious title challenge.
As part of the award, Schmid will receive a 43-inch NASCO television and a NASCO double-door bottom-freezer refrigerator, sponsored by Electroland Ghana Limited.
