Mr Richard Yamoah Agyemang, the Principal of the Tetrefu Technical Institute (TTI) in the Bosomtwe district, has been installed the new Nifahene of Bompata Traditional Area, in the Asante Akim District of the Ashanti Region.
His new title is Nana Yamoah Agyemang, after swearing the oath of allegiance to Ambassador Nana Effah-Apenteng, the Omanhene of Bompata Traditional Area, last Thursday.

Nana Yamoah Agyemang thanked the Omanhene of Bompata, Nana Effah-Apenteng for the honour done him and pledged to give off his best to help with the development of the area.
He advised the youth to abstain from social vices, which are detrimental to their health and lives. He mentioned that his vision is to ensure that the youth acquire technical and vocational skills to help them eke out a decent living for themselves and towards nation building.
As an Educationist, the new Nifahene advocated for stakeholder support to push Technical and Vocational Education (TVET), stressing the need to prioritise TVET to encourage the youth to aid in the economic development of the nation.
He noted that the nation’s educational curriculum was more theoretical, with little or no practical or skill training, which explains the situation where graduates rely solely on government for employment, resulting in high unemployment rate in the country.
The new chief disclosed that day-to-day activities require technical and vocational skills in one way or the other.
Nana Agyemang urged the government and stakeholders to prioritise TVET education, by providing resources and equipping the various TVET institutions across the nation.
He further urged parents and guardians to desist from discouraging their wards from selecting TVET institutions in pursuit of second cycle education, noting that these institutions help mould their wards for the job market and secured future.
