Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko hopes his team can keep the fine form in their quest to secure the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the campaign.
The Yellow and Mauve underlined their status as a serious title contenders following their commanding 3-1 victory over the Passion and Pride Boys at the TNA Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
A brace from experienced right-back Kamaradini Mamudu and Derrick Fordjour’s strike was enough for the Tarkwa-based club to secure maximum points on home soil.
Speaking to the club’s media, Tanko attributed his outfit impressive run of form to team bonding, while hoping the side can maintain their form throughout the campaign.
“Our performance in the second half of last season wasn’t bad. We almost won all games at home except Chelsea, but this season, we are able to pick points both home and away which means the team bond is good. I hope we maintain our performance throughout the season” he said.
With 43 points from 20 matches, Medeama now sit eight points clear at the summit, while Aduana FC and Asante Kotoko are locked on 35 points in second and third place respectively.
