Tunisian referee Asma Chouchane has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football to officiate the first-leg encounter between Ghana and South Africa in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Chouchane will be assisted by her compatriots Nesrine Quertatani and Khouloud Amri, while Emna Ajbouni has been named as the fourth official.
The officiating team is completed by Nigeria’s Ruth David, who will serve as Match Commissioner, and Senegalese official Fatou Gaye, appointed as Referee Assessor.
The crucial qualifier is scheduled for Sunday, February 8, 2026, with kick-off set for 15:30 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The fixture represents an important step in the qualification journey for both sides as they compete for a place at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Ghana will be aiming to make home advantage count in the first leg, while South Africa will look to secure a positive result ahead of the return fixture.
