Ghanaian midfielder Frank Junior Adjei came off the bench to deliver a lively cameo and a fine assist in Hammarby’s stunning 8-1 demolition of Orgryte in Allsvenskan at 3Arena.
Introduced on the hour mark, Adjei instantly injected fresh energy into midfield and capped his performance by setting up Nikola Vasic for Hammarby’s sixth goal on 70 minutes, sliding a precise pass into the channel for the striker to finish clinically.
By then, Hammarby were already in complete control after a blistering first half in which Noah Persson, Nahir Besara, Paulos Abraham and Victor Lind all found the net, with the hosts racing into a 411 lead before the break. Montader Madjed added a fifth shortly after half-time, and Vasic went on to complete a ruthless hat-trick with further strikes in the 79th and 86th minutes as the Stockholm side overwhelmed their visitors.
Frank Junior Adjei’s sharp contribution underlined Hammarby’s impressive squad depth on a day when their attacking play was irresistible. The victory keeps their strong early-season form intact as they now turn their focus to hosting Halmstads BK again at the 3Arena.
