Dutch-Ghanaian defender Leeroy Owusu stepped up at both ends of the pitch, scoring a decisive second-half goal in OB’s 3â1 home victory over Randers FC in the Superligaen relegation group.
With the game finely balanced at 1â1 after Jona Niemiec’s early opener for OB and Cyril Edudzi’s equaliser just after the hour, Owusu arrived in the box on 71 minutes to restore the hosts’ lead from close range after a smart cut-back from Max Ejdum.
That strike shifted the momentum firmly in OB’s favour, and Alexander Zorniger’s side killed the contest late on when Marcus McCoy added a third in the 86th minute, finishing off a swift move initiated down the left. OB managed the closing stages with maturity, limiting Randers to half-chances and protecting their advantage in front of an appreciative Nature Energy Park crowd.
Owusu’s goal continues an impressive 2025/26 Superligaen campaign in which he has made 27 league appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist from full-back. OB now face a daunting trip to FC København on Wednesday, April 22, as relegation group action continues at Parken.
