Popular Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has made a bold prediction that the Ghana national football team will reach the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting the squad has the quality to compete with the world’s best.
The Highlife star expressed strong belief in both the playing group and technical leadership, arguing that Ghana are capable of defeating elite nations on their path to the final stage.
He suggested the outcome may surprise many, despite initial hesitation to share his forecast publicly.
“I didn’t want to say it, but if I say what I’m thinking⦠finals, we will reach the final. We will beat Portugal, England, France, Spain, Croatia, Argentina, all to reach the final. You will see if it won’t marvel you,” he said.
Ghana have been drawn in Group I, where they will face England, Croatia, and Panama.
Their campaign is scheduled to begin on June 17 against Panama, followed by a high-profile clash with England on June 23, before concluding the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
Ahead of the tournament, the Black Stars, under head coach Carlos Queiroz, are expected to step up preparations with friendly matches against Mexico and Wales.
Queiroz is set to announce his final squad on June 1, 2026, as Ghana fine-tune their plans for the global showpiece.
