Dutch-Ghanaian attacker Kevin Luckassen made his mark with an assist before being sent off in FC ArgeÈ PiteÈti’s 1-1 draw with CFR Cluj in the Romanian Superliga.
The forward set up Yanis Pîrvu’s opener in the 80th minute, but his night ended badly when he received a second yellow card in stoppage time.
ArgeÈ started brightly, with Ricardo Matos and Michael Idowu both testing the CFR defence early on. Luckassen, who came off the bench in the 64th minute, quickly influenced the game as ArgeÈ pushed for a breakthrough. His decisive pass helped Pîrvu finish from the right side of the box to put the visitors ahead.
CFR Cluj responded strongly and found an equaliser through Alin Fica in the 86th minute, leaving both sides to settle for a point. Luckassen was then booked for a foul in the 76th minute before seeing red in the 90+2 minute after a second caution.
In the 2025/26 Romanian Superliga, Luckassen has made 21 appearances and registered one assist, with no goals so far.
