The Black Stars returned to work on Thursday evening as preparations for their crucial FIFA World Cup clash against England got underway with a recovery session at Bryant University in Rhode Island.
The session came less than 24 hours after Ghana secured a dramatic 1-0 victory over Panama in their opening Group L match, thanks to Caleb Yirenkyi's stoppage-time winner in Toronto.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz and his technical team oversaw a carefully planned recovery programme aimed at helping the players recover physically while beginning preparations for Tuesday's meeting with England.
Players who started against Panama completed light gym work, mobility exercises and low-intensity ball drills under the supervision of the team's fitness and medical staff. The focus was on muscle recovery, injury prevention and ensuring the squad remains fresh for the next challenge.
Midfielder Thomas Partey, who missed the Panama match after being denied entry into Canada, also took part in the training session as he continues to work with the squad while awaiting developments over his availability for the remainder of the tournament.
Meanwhile, players who came off the bench or did not feature against Panama underwent a more demanding training session to maintain their fitness and match sharpness.
Match-winner Caleb Yirenkyi took part in the recovery programme alongside the rest of the starting line-up, while goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, who replaced the injured Lawrence Ati Zigi at half-time against Panama, also completed the scheduled session.
The Black Stars will remain at their training base in Rhode Island over the coming days as Queiroz fine-tunes his plans for the showdown with England.
Victory over the Three Lions would put Ghana in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stage before their final Group L match against Croatia.
