Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon says his side will use the GHALCA Top 4 competition primarily to build team cohesion ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season.
The Still Believe side will be among the teams competing in the tournament, but Dormon insists winning the competition is not their main objective.
"Well, it's very very important, but at the Top Four, we are not really looking at the results. We are looking at team. We are looking at the team cohesion," he said.
"We are looking at like these new players that we have brought aboard, how they would integrate with the existing squad. So, we are not looking at winning the Top Four, but we are looking at using the Top Four to prepare for the season.
"So, yes, results really really doesn't matter as far as the Top Four is concerned. We want to make sure that we get the teams together. We get the cohesion, the team spirit, the bond. This is part of the reason why we are committed to playing the Top Four.”
Dormon believes the competition will provide valuable preparation as Dreams FC work to blend their new recruits with the existing squad before the league begins.
