Dutch-Ghanaian winger Elton Acolatse has joined Al-Hazem from Ferencvaros for €2.5m, completing a move to the Saudi Pro League on 27 August 2026.
The 31-year-old left winger arrives after seven months with the Hungarian club, having moved to Ferencvaros from fellow Hungarian side Diosgyor for €1.5m in January. Acolatse made three appearances for Ferencvaros at the beginning of the 2026-27 campaign, featuring twice in Europa League qualifying and once in the Nemzeti Bajnoksag.
He played 30 minutes in the club’s European qualifying matches and 34 minutes in the Hungarian top flight, without scoring or providing an assist. He did not start any of those games.
Acolatse joins Al-Hazem with a market value of €700,000 and becomes the latest stage of a career that has taken him through clubs in Belgium, Israel, Turkey and Hungary. He began his senior career with KVC Westerlo after leaving Ajax’s under-21 side in 2016, before joining Club Brugge the following year.
The winger later spent time at Sint-Truiden, Hapoel Beer Sheva, Bursaspor, FC Ashdod and Diosgyor. His move to Hapoel Beer Sheva in 2020 followed a loan spell at the Israeli club, while his season with Bursaspor in 2021-22 was also temporary before he returned to Israel.
Acolatse’s honours include the Hungarian Cup, which he won with Ferencvaros in 2025-26, and the Israeli Cup with Hapoel Beer Sheva in 2019-20. Earlier in his career, he won the Dutch Under-19 title with Ajax in 2014 and was part of the Netherlands side that claimed the European Under-17 Championship in 2012.
Born in Amsterdam, Acolatse represents Dutch and Ghanaian nationality and is a right-footed wide player. His arrival gives Al-Hazem an experienced option on the left side of attack as the club adds a player with a record of competing across several European leagues.
The transfer was completed on 27 August 2026, with Acolatse leaving Ferencvaros to begin his Al-Hazem career in Saudi Arabia.
