Attacker Isaac Opoku Agyemang has completed his move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko ahead of the new football season.
The former AshantiGold, Vision FC and FC Samartex attacker completed his move after successfully passing his medical examination.
The transfer also fulfils a long-standing ambition for Opoku, who had previously expressed his desire to play for the Kumasi-based club.
“Asante Kotoko is pleased to confirm the signing of Isaac Opoku Agyemang.
“Opoku becomes the third attacking signing for Eric Tinkler following the arrivals of Solomon Nsoh and Emmanuel Mamah,” the club said.
Speaking in his first interview, the forward said securing the move represents one of the happiest moments of his career after previous attempts to join the club failed to materialise.
“I am delighted to have finally secured this opportunity to play for Kotoko. I had previously expressed my desire to join the club to my agents, but the circumstances did not allow it at that time. However, I am now here and ready to dedicate my full commitment to the team.”
The club will hope Opoku's experience from previous spells with AshantiGold, Vision FC and Samartex can provide another option in the final third as they prepare for the new season.
