Rak-Sakyi starts Turkish adventure with Kasimpasa move

Ghanaian-English winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has joined Kasimpasa from Crystal Palace, moving to the Turkish Super Lig club on 4 September 2026.

The 23-year-old right winger arrives after spending the majority of his career with Palace, where he progressed through the club’s youth system before establishing himself as a senior player. He is predominantly left-footed and plays on the right side of attack.

Rak-Sakyi’s move to Kasimpasa follows a period of regular loan spells away from Selhurst Park. He spent the second half of the 2025-26 season with Stoke City after joining the Championship club in February, returning to Palace at the end of May.

Before that, he had been with C. Rizespor, joining the Turkish club on loan in September 2025 and returning to Palace in January 2026. The sequence of temporary moves gave Rak-Sakyi experience in both English and Turkish football before his switch to Kasimpasa.

He began his senior loan career with Charlton Athletic during the 2022-23 season and later spent the 2024-25 campaign with Sheffield United. Those spells came after he moved into Palace’s first-team setup from the club’s under-21 side in July 2022.

Rak-Sakyi’s most productive campaign came in Premier League 2 in 2021-22, when he finished as the competition’s leading scorer with 18 goals. He also won the Premier League International Cup once during his time in Palace’s development structure.

Born in London on 5 October 2002, Rak-Sakyi has Ghanaian and English nationality. His move to Kasimpasa represents a return to Turkey after his loan spell with C. Rizespor, but this time as a player joining the club from Crystal Palace rather than on a temporary basis.

Kasimpasa have added a winger whose recorded market value is €6m and whose recent career has included loan experience with Stoke City, C. Rizespor, Sheffield United and Charlton Athletic.

Rak-Sakyi completed his move from Crystal Palace to Kasimpasa on 4 September 2026.
