Ghana’s Black Sharks have received approval for their preparations for the upcoming Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, while the 2026 Beach Soccer Premier League final has been scheduled for Sunday, 27 September in Ada.
The decisions were taken at a meeting of the Ghana Football Association’s Beach Soccer Management Committee, which considered plans for both the national team’s continental assignment and the conclusion of the domestic season.
The committee approved proposals from the technical team designed to ensure the Black Sharks are fully prepared for the AFCON qualifying campaign. The plans are intended to give Ghana’s national beach soccer team the necessary preparation and support ahead of its next competitive challenge.
The meeting is part of the GFA’s wider efforts to develop beach soccer in the country and establish the structures required to help the national team compete effectively at continental level.
GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.) and Acting Director of Competitions Maxwell Caesar Kemeh attended the meeting, where arrangements for the domestic league finale were also confirmed.
The 2026 Beach Soccer Premier League final will take place in Ada on Sunday, 27 September. The match will decide the league champion and bring the season to a close after another campaign of beach soccer competition.
Participating clubs and other relevant stakeholders will be formally notified of the confirmed date, venue arrangements and any further details relating to the final.
The GFA Beach Soccer Management Committee is chaired by Yaw Kusi Gyamfi Awere, with Solomon Torson as Vice Chairman. Its other members are Nana Poku Amankwaah, George Darko, Ruben Adjahoe and Abdul Hayye Yartey.
The committee’s meeting reflects the Football Association’s dual focus on strengthening the domestic game while ensuring that Ghana’s international beach soccer programme receives the necessary backing.
With the AFCON qualifiers approaching, attention will now turn to implementing the technical team’s preparations for the Black Sharks. At the same time, clubs and supporters will begin looking ahead to the decisive Premier League fixture in Ada, which will officially conclude the 2026 season.
