Jordan Ayew has revealed that his move to Sheffield United came together quickly after manager Chris Wilder contacted him while he was in Ghana.
The experienced forward said he did not hesitate when presented with the opportunity to return to English football.
“It happened really, really quick because I was in Ghana and the manager called me last week.
“I didn't think twice; I just took the opportunity, and the most important thing is for me to help the team and obviously for us to have a great season.”
Ayew is determined to make an impact at Sheffield United and believes the squad has the quality to achieve positive results.
“I have a lot of desire this season to make an impact and to help the team because we have a good squad and there's a lot of positive things we can do.”
The Ghana captain brings more than 500 competitive appearances to Sheffield United, having represented Marseille, Sochaux, Lorient, Aston Villa, Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Leicester City during his career.
