Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah is no longer facing legal proceedings from Bromley Council after complying with a building notice issued to him.
Nketiah, 27, had been prosecuted by the south-east London council for allegedly failing to carry out required works within the stipulated timeframe between February and August 2025.
He had been issued a notice under Section 99 of the Building Act 1984 requiring him to execute the works.
The Crystal Palace forward pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared in court on October 21 last year.
However, at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 8, prosecutor Sandra Torma informed the court that the council was withdrawing the case.
The court confirmed that the proceedings had been dropped because Nketiah had “complied with the requirements”.
The footballer, who lives in Bromley, was not present at the hearing.
Nketiah joined Crystal Palace in 2024 after leaving Arsenal and has made 54 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals.
He also spent time on loan at Leeds United during his Arsenal career.
Nketiah, who is close to switching from England to play for Ghana, remains with Palace as they continue their 2026/27 campaign, with the legal matter now brought to an end following his compliance with the council’s requirements.
