FC Samartex head coach Nana Agyemang says his side will approach every Ghana Premier League game with the same ambition as they prepare for their first away fixture of the 2026/27 season against Aduana FC in Dormaa.
The Timber Giants began the campaign strongly with a 3-1 victory over Karela United and will now look to build on that result when they face an Aduana side that opened the season with a goalless draw against Heart of Lions.
Ahead of the game, Nana Agyemang insists playing away from home will not change his team's approach as they seek to amass another three points.
The Samartex coach says his players must maintain their focus throughout the campaign and avoid becoming complacent after their impressive opening-day victory.
“Every game that we are playing this season, the mentality is the same. Whether home or away, we want to take the three points. We cannot be complacent, but we are going into games with that same mentality so that we can always get something out of our matches even if we don’t get a win,” the coach told FC Samartex TV.
The Timber Giants will be hoping their strong start can translate into another positive performance when they travel to the Bono Region for the first away assignment of their league campaign.
Aduana FC were unable to claim maximum points in their opening fixture after being held to a 0-0 draw by Heart of Lions.
The Dormaa-based side will therefore be looking to make home advantage count against Samartex and secure their first win of the season.
The upcoming league match will be played on Sunday, September 13, and will kick off at 3 pm at Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
