Samuel Boadu impressed with performance of Aduana FC players in FC Samartex defeat

Aduana FC head coach Samuel Boadu has praised his players for their performance despite suffering a late 1-0 defeat to FC Samartex 1996 in the Ghana Premier League.

Ebenezer Okrah scored deep into stoppage time to hand Samartex all three points in a dramatic Matchday Two encounter at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro on Sunday.

The result leaves Aduana without a win from their opening two league matches, but Samuel Boadu believes his players produced enough to deserve a better outcome.

Speaking after the match, the coach acknowledged that his team made mistakes but was impressed by their overall display.

“They did well. They played very good football, but it's a mistake. It is part of football. During the first half, the opponent took possession, and then when it came to halftime, we rectified the mistake….But statistically, during the second half, you could see that they did a good job. But it's just unfortunate that luck is not on our side today,” Samuel Boadu told journalists.

He continued, “The positive aspect is about the concentration, because during the team talk, I told them about the total concentration. They should concentrate till the end of the game, and they did that.”

Aduana FC will now turn their attention to their Matchday Three fixture against Karela United as they search for their first victory of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign.
