Ghanaâ??s Agyemang-Badu hails former teammate Bruno Fernandesâ?? incredible work ethic

Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has praised his former Udinese teammate Bruno Fernandes for his incredible work ethic, revealing that the Portuguese star’s dedication was evident from his early days in Italy.

Fernandes, who currently plies his trade for Manchester United, worked under the leadership of the former Ghana U20 World Cup winner before rising to the top of his football career.

Badu, who captained Fernandes during their spell with the Italian outfit, has lauded the Portuguese midfielder’s outstanding quality and strong mentality while highlighting his exceptional commitment to improving his game.

The former Ghana international recalled how Fernandes would arrive at training as early as 7am to work on his individual development before joining the rest of the squad for group training.

“I was his captain at Udinese. He had so much quality, was mentally strong and worked extremely hard. He would arrive at training at 7am to work on his game,” Agyemang-Badu said.

Fernandes has since enjoyed a remarkable rise in his career, establishing himself as a key player for Manchester United and Portugal.

The Portuguese midfielder’s development has seen him become one of the most influential players at Old Trafford, while his leadership qualities have also earned him the captaincy of the English giants.

For Agyemang-Badu, however, Fernandes’ rise to the highest level has come as little surprise, having witnessed first-hand the determination, discipline and hunger that set him apart during their time together at Udinese.

“When I saw his progress, I wasn’t surprised. I’m very proud of him,” he added.
