Mrs Samira Bawumia, wife of the vice presidential candidate of opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that the presidential nominee of the party is mostly misconstrued by a section of the Ghanaian populace.

She remarked that Nana Addo is very passionate about changing the fortunes of the country and relieving Ghanaians from harsh economic conditions.

Mrs Bawumia believed sometimes Nana Addo’s comments are misinterpreted by his opponents portraying him as a violent character and divisive just to score cheap political points.

Speaking with Host of ‘Rhythmzlive ONE on ONE on GH One  Bella Mundi, she wondered why Ghanaians do not appreciate upfront people. 

‘Nana Addo is very passionate about Ghana, he is  a very good man, he’s very gracious, its unbelievable how much he loves this country, he is well intended, when you meet him all he talks about is doing things right and how things can be done well.  He is very kind, very generous to people, he’s been misconstrued unfortunately.

I think Ghanaians don’t like honest people, upfront people, you say it as it is and you end up getting a bad wrap for it. I think he speaks his mind, and he says what he means and means what he says. I respect him a lot. He is a good man,’ she said.

She called on Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP and Nana Addo to win power in the December election.
