The Internship Committee of the Department of Integrated Rural Art and Industry of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has honoured the Precious Minerals Marketing Company Limited (PMMC) for its enormous contribution to students who are invariably sent out for internship.
PMMC has been one major institution where students from KNUST have been having their internships over 10 years, and it is for this reason that the Internship Committee presented a citation of recognition to the Management of PMMC -- saying that the continuous support of PMMC has actually helped the calibre of people the university churns out on yearly basis.
“The training you give to our students who annually undertake industrial training is highly recognised. You have been of great benefit to the department, the university and Ghana at large, especially during the 2012/2013 academic year.
“The department appreciates the contribution you offer toward the human development characterised by the youth. We say kudos and are planning toward a better relationship in the near-future,†Dr. Rudolf Steiner, the Departmental Head stated.
Mr. Damptey also told the team that it was nice working with them; saying that the students take to the practical training seriously during their internship period.
He hopes that one day PMMC will also go to the University for a reciprocal relationship.
