Sustainable Impact Makers International, a global nonprofit headquartered in New York and led by Dr. Evelyn Botwe, has announces the SIMI Global Health Equity Summit 2026.
The Summit, themed, “Health Equity in Action: From Periods to Parenthood, For All,” will take place from 23–25 July, 2026 at the Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani.
The landmark international convening will bring together public health officials, healthcare providers, researchers, youth advocates, policymakers, corporate leaders, traditional authorities, faith leaders, and community members for three transformative days of action, education, collaboration, and collective commitment toward advancing health equity across Ghana and beyond.
As global communities continue to face widening disparities in healthcare access, maternal health outcomes, cancer prevention services, menstrual health education, and mental health support, the Summit aims to create a collaborative platform that moves beyond dialogue into tangible community-centered solutions.
Through screenings, policy discussions, youth engagement, educational forums, interfaith dialogue, and international partnerships, the Summit will amplify the voices and lived experiences of underserved populations while fostering sustainable, culturally grounded interventions.
Founder and President, SIMI, Dr. Evelyn Botwe, said “Achieving equitable access to healthcare and honoring the humanity of underserved and disenfranchised populations requires collective responsibility, innovation, and partnership across sectors, This Summit is more than an event, it is a movement designed to connect communities, policymakers, healthcare systems, and global partners in ways that create measurable impact and sustainable change.”
The three-day Summit will feature, community health screenings and wellness outreach, maternal and reproductive health education, breast and prostate cancer awareness initiatives, youth-focused menstrual health and empowerment programming.
Also, policy and leadership roundtables, interfaith and community leadership discussions, cultural storytelling and film screenings and networking opportunities with international health equity leaders and advocates will be held.
The Summit is being organised with support from national and local stakeholders, including government ministries, healthcare institutions, nonprofit organisations, and international corporate partners committed to advancing equitable healthcare access and social impact.
At the close of the Summit, all participants will be invited to take the Sunyani Pledge – a commitment lead or join at least one community health initiative within 90 days of the event. SIMI will track progress through a 90-day impact journal, capturing stories, data, and testimonies of change. Community champions will be recognised at future SIMI convening.
