Striker Morifing Donzo led the charge with a brace, while Samba O’Neil, Kwame Opoku, Hubert Gyau, and Johnson Owusu Oppong also found the back of the net to complete the rout. The win marks Kotoko’s third consecutive league triumph, following victories over Dreams FC and Eleven Wonders. Speaking to TV3 after the game, Karim Zito expressed his delight at seeing his forwards healthy and in fine scoring form. “I am very happy we won. I’m very happy for the boys. It tells you that they [the strikers] have been taking their practice very seriously, so I think it manifested in the game today, and I’m very happy for them,” Karim Zito said. The result lifts Asante Kotoko to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings. The Porcupine Warriors will now travel to Swedru to face All Blacks in Matchday 17 on Sunday, January 4.
