Kwabena Owusu goal and assist lift Maccabi Bnei Raina past Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona

Kwabena Owusu scored and assisted to drive Maccabi Bnei Raina to a 3-1 home win over Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona in Round 16 of the Ligat Ha al.

The Ghanaian striker struck on 21 minutes with a fine right foot finish from the left side of the box after a cross from Muhamad Shaker to cancel out Cristian Martinez early penalty.

Owusu then turned provider on 42 minutes. He carried the ball on the break and slid a neat pass into Iyad Khalaili who finished high into the net to put Raina ahead before the break.

Raina kept their shape after half time and were patient in possession despite seeing less of the ball. The control paid off on 59 minutes when Shaker arrived in the box to make it 3 1 and settle the contest.

Owusu worked hard off the ball and linked play before leaving to applause on 87 minutes. The win lifts Raina with belief ahead of a trip to Hapoel Petah Tikva on January 3rd.
