Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko was pleased with his team’s performance and progress after their 3-1 win over Bibiani Gold Stars in the MTN FA Cup Round of 32.
He praised the effort, discipline, and teamwork shown by his players as they booked a place in the next stage of the competition.
Medeama started the match with energy and control, and their positive approach paid off in the 27th minute when Braye opened the scoring to put the home side ahead. The striker doubled the lead just before halftime, giving Medeama a strong advantage at the break.
Gold Stars fought back after the restart and reduced the deficit in the 52nd minute through Gideon Anaba, briefly lifting the visitors. Medeama, however, stayed calm, managed the game well, and limited Gold Stars’ chances while searching for another goal.
Braye completed his hat trick in the 85th minute to seal the win and confirm Medeama’s passage into the next round.
"It’s very important to go to the next round. Winning 3-1 against a strong team, I think they are behind us in the league table so definitely I’m very happy that we are going into the next stage," he said
"All the players are ready. Each one can score at anytime. In all the team is doing well and we are playing as a team and I’m very happy," he added.
