Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi could join sworn-rivals Asante Kotoko in a mouth-watering switch before the closure of the current transfer window.
The former Dreams FC shot stopper, who joined the Phobians at the beginning of the 2025/26 football campaign is without an official contract, sparking speculations about his future at the club. Besides, the enterprising goalkeeper appears not to be happy staying at Pobiman.
However, the Porcupine Warriors could explore a move for Agbasi, who impressed in the absence of first-choice shot stopper Benjamin Asare before the window shuts.
Kotoko are planning for life after Guinean shot stopper Mohammed Camara, who is in the final year of his contract at the club. The Porcupine Warriors could, however, pull a major transfer coup for the acquisition of Agbasi in the current window.
Agbasi, 25, is likely to accept a move to the Kumasi-based club with a regular starting role at Hearts of Oak not guaranteed.
Camara, whose current contract expire in June 2026 has yet to sign a new deal for the Porcupine Warriors, raising concerns about his future.
Agbasi recently produced a series of assured and commanding performances, sparking a serious debate regarding the first-choice role at Hearts of Oak following the return of Benjamin Asare from injury.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper has made eight appearances for Hearts of Oak in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, keeping clean sheet throughout the games.
