Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman has expressed his excitement after completing a loan move to Birmingham City for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, marking the next chapter in his European journey.
The 21-year-old winger arrives from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, having spent the first half of the campaign on loan at French Ligue 1 club Auxerre. Known for his blistering pace, athleticism, and direct attacking style, Osman becomes the Blues' third signing of the January transfer window.
"I can't wait to get started," Osman said upon his arrival. "Birmingham City is one of the big teams in England, and I’m really excited to get on the pitch and make the fans happy."
The young forward outlined his ambitions to make an immediate impact at St Andrew's. "I want to help the team as much as possible and to win some games, and to score and assist and help the team win."
Osman revealed that conversations with the club's hierarchy were key to his decision, highlighting the project under head coach Chris Davies. "Speaking with the coach and the sporting director, and as you know having just qualified from League One with a lot of points, you can see the ambition from the club," he explained. "The manager has been watching a lot of my games; he knows my style of play. I’m a direct winger; I attack a lot, and I have speed."
The move offers Osman a new challenge in the English Championship, providing him with regular first-team football as he continues his development and aims to showcase the talent that earned him a move to Brighton.
