We have the best players in Ghana - Kotoko coach Karim Zito declares

Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has declared that they have the best players in the Ghanaian topflight.

The Porcupine Warriors currently remain in the 2nd position in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, with eight points separating them and league leaders, Medeama SC, who have 43 points.

After a convincing 3-0 win against Basake Holy Stars last weekend, Kotoko will be on the road to play Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Saturday, January 31.

Ahead of the clash, Zito also expressed strong confidence in his squad, describing Kotoko as the best team in the country at the moment.

According to him, a shift in mentality could unlock the full potential of his players.

“I see that we have the best players in Ghana. What we need is to build the team and change the mentality, and you will see the best out of them,” the veteran trainer said.
