Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has charged his players to put up a top performance to overcome Aduana FC next weekend when the two teams clash in the MTN FA Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors will host the team from Dormaa on Sunday, February 8, in a Round of 16 tie of the domestic cup competition.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Karim Zito stressed that his team will show the opponent why they are defending champions.
“I’m anticipating a good game, better than what we did in the league. One of the best performances I will admit was against Heart of Lions. One nice thing about football is that you always have the opportunity to make an amendment. We will use the match against Aduana to make an amendment to please our fans.
“Being the defending champions, we have to show that we are really the defending champions,” Karim Zito told AKSC Media.
Karim Zito led Asante Kotoko to clinch the MTN FA Cup last season. The experienced tactician is confident that the Reds can repeat the feat at the end of this season’s campaign.
