Ghanaâ??s Ibrahim Osman nets debut goal to inspire Birmingham Cityâ??s victory over Leicester City

Ghana international Ibrahim Osman marked a memorable milestone to his loan spell at Birmingham City, scoring his first goal to inspire the side to victory over Leicester City in the English Championship on Saturday.

The 21-year-old attacker, who joined Birmingham in the winter transfer window from Brighton and Hove Albion started and played full throttle of the match, as his outfit cruised to a 2-1 home victory over the Foxes in a highly competitive clash, held at the St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park

Birmingham City wasted no time in opening the scoring, with Osman firing home the first goal of the match after just three minutes.

In the 21st-minute mark, fellow Ghanaian player, Fatawu Issahaku found the net the level the pegging for the visitors, as the first half of the match ended in a scoring draw.

But Birmingham City proved to be a stronger opponent, with Jay Stansfield netting the match-winner in the 67th-minute mark after being set up by Marvin Ducksch.

Osman has now scored one goal in his first three appearances for Birmingham City, who are chasing for promotion into the English Premier League.

After 31 matches, Birmingham City find themselves in the 10^th position, accumulating 45 points.

With the World Cup fast-approaching, the talented Ghanaian winger will be hoping for an impressive loan spell in attempt to secure a place in the Black Stars squad for the impending tournament, to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
